Kayaking around the Giens Peninsula

This hike is made for those who want to discover the creeks gently and take an unforgettable memory of this jewel of the Mediterranean coast in their memory

Description

The Giens peninsula is located between the town of Hyères and the island of Porqueroles, with which it has similarities: heavenly beaches to the north and a wild coast to the south. A short crossing will first take us to the little-known and little-visited island of Grand Ribaud, its fine sandy coves, its fort and its lighthouse. We will then reach the very jagged south coast of the peninsula, its cliffs and small beaches, before going around the Pointe des Salis, to the Blé cove, which contains a spectacular cave that you can enter by kayak to a depth of around fifty metres. We then reach the very sheltered south coast of the peninsula, its islands and its beautiful beaches, before landing at the port of La Madrague. Drivers will then go on foot to pick up the cars by crossing the peninsula, the port of Niel being only one kilometre away.
